Our Workshops provide training to any photographers who wish to extend their knowledge and experience. See the events calendar for current programme. We also run 1 0n 1 sessions
This extends our offerings of day courses for photographers with specific needs - usually planned specifically for the client
These courses provide the opportunity for professionals, serious amateurs and absolute beginners to learn more about their craft.
Most of the workshops assume the user is working with a 35mm SLR camera - but the sessions will be beneficial to those with digital compacts with user adjustable features.
Nearly ALL of these sessions are resulting from suggestions by visitors - got a subject
you want to cover ?
The is one of the best environments for this kind of training, because we have the gear AND
the space to use it, come rain or shine.
Each workshop will be hosted by a teacher, experience qualified in the specific topic of the workshop
Based on the well established but informal session approach our workshops will always include practical opportunities
The workshops are usually 10.00am-2.30pm - this is a 4 hour session with a half hour break for lunch - you need to bring a packed lunch but coffee/tea/wine/beer will be on a DIY basis all day
Attendees are invited to arrive any time from 09.30am onwards, have a cup of Tea or coffee and be available for a prompt start at 10.00am even if some attendees haven't arrived.
There is extensive car parking and the is easy
to find
Please note these are small group (6-7 people) workshops and there is plenty of opportunity to ask personal questions and we feel the price is unequalled elsewhere
Payment is required with booking
confirmation and is non-refundable, although we are sympathetic
with passing the place on to a friend or colleague
The workshops are designed to be interactive and address most areas of photography - the intention is that you join the series at a point where you feel the workshop will provide you with the knowledge
extension you require and then attend those which apply to your area of interest
Clearly there will be some bias toward studio-related work but in almost every case there will be some part of the workshop which is relevant to location work as well
Each workshop will be limited to a small group and places will be assigned on a first paid, first served, basis
The subject headings to be covered in each workshop are clearly defined in the programme
Each workshop will have a very brief set of notes which summarise the areas covered and a copy will be given to every attendee
Attendees are expected to bring a camera to all workshops and to use it |
